Thermography Imaging in Mt. Pleasant
Thermography uses NO radiation and NO compression/pain. The heat from your body becomes an image. Thermography is used as a risk assessment tool using risk and thermal markers for detection. Our images are sent off to IACT, Dr. William Amalu, D.C., D.A.B.C.T for processing. Dr. Amalu will look for warm blood vessels which appear different than the normal. Our office usually receives the report of findings back within 10 business days (Monday-Thursday).
Our most popular thermogram is the “Breast” Thermography. These images include images of both breast, R/L oblique’s, single close up images of both R/L, and also R/L breast lift. This process takes approximately 30 minutes from start to finish. Patient will spend 15 minutes acclimating to the room temperature and then the next 15 having images taken with an infrared camera.
